A study presented November 2 2017 at the ongoing 30th Mexican Congress of Cardiology in Guadalajara shows that donated pacemakers can be safely reused after a thorough and standardized sterilization process suggesting the possibility for patients to receive a pacemaker who otherwise could not afford a new pacemaker or a battery change.
